SPRING consists of students, teachers, and local
community members who seek the betterment of our state
parks. Due to state budget cuts, area parks are loosing the
funding needed to maintain equipment keep the area clean for
all patrons. Money raised by SPRING is intended to aid in
the purchase and upkeep of materials to better parks in the
area.
Currently we are working especially with Big Creek State
park which is about 15 miles north of Des Moines near Polk
City in central Iowa. Our work also includes volunteering
time to remove litter from the park.
Everyone uses our state parks, and everyone should work
to take care of them. Please help by donating your time or
money to SPRING!
